# Connection settings

RTK Premium connection settings: caster rtkpremium.xyz, port 2101 and mountpoint COMMON over NTRIP, what the rtkpremium.xyz domain serves, and where to find your credentials.

Every RTK Premium account connects to the same caster with the same settings. Only the username and password are personal to your account.

### rtkpremium.xyz

rtkpremium.xyz is the Premium Positioning domain for RTK Premium. Your receiver connects to its NTRIP caster on port 2101, and you sign in to the [XYZ Platform](https://rtkpremium.xyz/sign-in) on the same domain to manage subscriptions and devices and see the live status of each session.

### Credentials

Your username and password arrive in the account email when your trial or subscription is set up, and your correction details are also in the XYZ Platform. Both values are case sensitive. No account yet? Start a [14-day free trial](https://www.premium-positioning.com/start-14-day-free-trial?utm_source=docs\&utm_medium=referral\&utm_campaign=docs\&utm_content=connection-settings) to get your credentials.

### Network requirements

The receiver, or the phone or controller that relays corrections to it, needs an internet connection that allows outbound connections to rtkpremium.xyz on port 2101. Company networks and some public Wi-Fi block uncommon ports: if the mountpoint list does not load on such a network, ask your IT team to allow port 2101 or switch to mobile data. Corrections use roughly 100 to 300 MB a month in normal field use. A receiver or controller that takes a SIM can use [Premium Positioning IoT SIMs](/learn/rtk-corrections-and-iot-sims-from-one-supplier.md) for its own data connection.

### Mountpoint and position sending

COMMON suits most receivers. Keep position sending (GGA) on, because the network uses your position to build the correction for where you are. [Mountpoint selection and the GGA heartbeat](/troubleshooting/mountpoint-selection-and-the-gga-heartbeat.md) covers the other mountpoints and why the heartbeat matters on a moving receiver.

### Setup steps

[Connect a receiver](/set-up-and-connect/connect-a-receiver.md) gives generic steps for any NTRIP-capable receiver, and [All devices A to Z](/guides/all-devices-a-to-z.md) lists a setup guide for each supported brand and model.
