# Trimble TDC650 handheld

These steps connect a Trimble TDC650 handheld to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using Trimble Mobile Manager + TerraFlex/Penmap. They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* Trimble Mobile Manager + TerraFlex/Penmap.
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Open Trimble Mobile Manager: Trimble Mobile Manager (TMM) drives the TDC650's built-in GNSS and feeds corrected positions to your field app (TerraFlex, Penmap, Esri Field Maps). Open TMM and complete this setup before opening your field app.
2. Select the internal GNSS receiver: On the TMM Home screen tap Select. The TDC650's integrated GNSS appears in the Select device window (there is no separate Bluetooth receiver to pair). Choose the internal/integrated receiver and tap Connect.
3. Open Configuration: Tap the configuration icon, then Configuration. Wording can differ slightly between TMM versions - look for the Configuration / GNSS configuration option.
4. Set correction source to Custom local: Tap GNSS correction source and change it from Auto to Custom local, so you supply your own NTRIP caster details.
5. Set Protocol to NTRIP: Set Protocol to NTRIP (the other option is Direct).
6. Enter the caster server and port: Server (URL): rtkpremium.xyz Port: 2101. TMM uses these to connect and download the mount point list.
7. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: Enter the NTRIP username and password from your welcome email - unique to your account; use your own credentials exactly as supplied.
8. Select the COMMON mount point: After TMM connects to rtkpremium.xyz the mount point list shows. Select COMMON. If it doesn't appear, re-check server/port/credentials and that the device has mobile data or Wi-Fi.
9. Set the reference frame: Set the GNSS source reference frame to the datum the COMMON service uses (your welcome email or support can confirm). If unsure, select Auto. Leave Customize epoch off unless told otherwise.
10. Save the configuration: Save / apply Configuration so TMM streams corrections from COMMON to the TDC650's internal GNSS.
11. Set TMM as the Android mock location app: So TerraFlex/Penmap/Field Maps get the corrected position: Settings > enable Developer options > Select mock location app > Trimble Mobile Manager. Also disable battery optimisation for TMM.
12. Confirm an RTK Fixed solution: On the TMM Home screen check the position accuracy. Wait until it converges to RTK Fixed (cm-level) before collecting. If it stays lower-precision, re-check COMMON, credentials, internet, and sky view.

### If the fix will not hold

The TDC650 has integrated GNSS, so no external Bluetooth receiver is needed. Labels and the home-screen status wording vary between TMM versions and field apps (TerraFlex/Penmap/Field Maps) - match by purpose. The same caster settings work in third-party apps once TMM is set as the Android mock location app.
