# Topcon HiPer V

These steps connect a Topcon HiPer V to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using MAGNET Field. They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* MAGNET Field.
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power on and connect to the HiPer V: Switch on the HiPer V and your controller, open MAGNET Field, and make sure the controller is paired to the receiver over Bluetooth (or cable) before building the configuration.
2. Open Configure > Survey: From the main screen tap Configure, then Survey, to open the GPS+/survey configuration list. (Some versions: Configure > GPS+ Config or Configure > Connection - look for the survey/GPS configuration screen.)
3. Create a new Network RTK configuration: Tap Add (or the '...' next to the GPS+ configuration). Name it e.g. 'Premium Positioning'. Set Type to 'Network RTK' and Corrections to 'VRS'. Tap Next.
4. Set the receiver make to Topcon: On Receiver Make set Manufacturer to 'Topcon'. Leave Simulation Mode unchecked, and Post Processing unchecked unless you need raw logging. Tap Next.
5. Configure the Rover Receiver and set Protocol to NTRIP: Tick Ext. Receiver, set Receiver Model to your unit ('Hiper V'; if only older models list, pick the closest Hiper). Set Elevation Mask (e.g. 13 deg). Set Protocol to 'NTRIP'. Set Antenna and confirm Antenna Height (Ant Ht, default 2.000 m, Vertical or Slant). Tap Next.
6. Set Modem Connect to Controller: On Config: Modem Connect, set Modem Connect to 'Controller' (sometimes 'Controller Internet') so the caster connection goes over the controller's own internet (SIM/Wi-Fi). Tap Next.
7. Enter the caster host and port: On Modem Internet Info, in Address enter the caster as host:port - rtkpremium.xyz:2101 (Host = rtkpremium.xyz, Port = 2101). Set the address type to 'Web' (use 'IP' only for a numeric address). Tap Add new to save it, ensure it's selected, then Next.
8. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: On Login Info, enter the NTRIP User ID and Password from your welcome email - unique to you, exactly as supplied; do not share them. Tap Next.
9. Finish the remaining configuration screens: Step through Topo Survey / Stake, Advanced, Miscellaneous - defaults are fine. On Advanced, 'GPS+GLONASS' and Base Station Make 'Automatic Detection' are typical. Tap the green tick to save and return to the configuration list.
10. Select the configuration and open the connection screen: On Survey Config make sure your new 'Premium Positioning' configuration is selected under GPS+ Config, then tap the green tick to open Connections.
11. Connect to the caster: On Connections (Network tab) tap Connect. MAGNET opens an internet connection to rtkpremium.xyz:2101 and requests the source table using your login.
12. Select mount point COMMON: When the Mount PT drop-down appears, select 'COMMON'. (If you see 'No mount point to connect to automatically, please select one', use the drop-down to pick COMMON.) Tap Connect.
13. Confirm corrections are streaming: You should see 'Data received...' on the Network tab. An authentication error means wrong credentials; no mount points means re-check the host (rtkpremium.xyz) and port (2101).
14. Verify a Fixed solution before you survey: Tap home, go to your survey screen, and wait until the solution reports 'Fixed' (not Float or Autonomous). Fixed RTK means full cm-level accuracy from the network and you're ready to measure or stake.

### If the fix will not hold

Screen names follow the Topcon GB MAGNET Field quick guide; MAGNET Field 6.1.1+ supports the HiPer V. Wording varies by version ('Modem Connect = Controller' vs 'Controller Internet', the Receiver Model list) - match the described purpose if your screen differs.

### Need help

Support is available 24/7. Include your receiver model, the mountpoint, the solution status, and the correction age when you get in touch.
