# Stonex S900A / S850A / S700A

These steps connect a Stonex S900A / S850A / S700A to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using Cube-a (formerly SurvCE). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* Cube-a (formerly SurvCE).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power up with clear sky: Take the Stonex receiver (S900A / S850A / S700A) outside with an open view of the sky, away from buildings and trees. Power it on and give it a minute or two to start tracking satellites.
2. Open Cube-a and connect: Launch Cube-a, go to the Tool (or Config) menu and tap Connect. Choose your receiver model, set the connection to Bluetooth, search, select your receiver's serial number and pair. Confirm it shows Connected. (On older SurvCE: Equip → GPS Rover.)
3. Open Working Mode → Rover: From the Tool menu open Working Mode and choose Rover. This is where the data link and NTRIP settings live.
4. Set the Data Link: Set the Data Link. For a receiver without its own SIM, choose the option that routes corrections through the controller's internet - typically 'Phone Internet', 'Controller Network' or 'PDA Network'. If the receiver has a built-in 4G modem and SIM, choose 'Receiver Network' (Internal GSM) and enter the APN.
5. Choose NTRIP protocol: Set the protocol / connection type to NTRIP (sometimes 'NTRIP Client', or Connection Mode = NTRIP) so Cube-a pulls RTCM corrections from an internet caster rather than a radio.
6. Add the caster (server + port): Create or edit an NTRIP connection profile and enter Server / Host / IP: rtkpremium.xyz and Port: 2101. If the field expects an IP, you can still type the domain rtkpremium.xyz - Cube-a resolves it.
7. Enter YOUR NTRIP credentials: In User Name and Password type the personal NTRIP login from your Premium Positioning welcome email - unique to your account. The caster requires authentication.
8. Retrieve the source table: Tap the control that fetches mountpoints - usually 'Get Source Table', 'Source Table', 'Get Access Point', or a refresh/list icon next to the mountpoint field. Cube-a downloads the list of available streams.
9. Select mountpoint COMMON: From the source table / Access Point list select COMMON. If the list doesn't populate, type COMMON manually (capitals) and double-check the host, port and credentials.
10. Enable position upload (GGA): Make sure 'Send GGA' / 'Send NMEA' is enabled - a network/VRS caster needs your approximate position to send the correct corrections. Most Cube-a versions enable this automatically for NTRIP.
11. Apply and confirm connection: Tap OK / Apply / Connect to save and start the data link. Cube-a shows the NTRIP connection active and a rising count of received correction bytes. If it fails, recheck server, port, mountpoint and credentials.
12. Verify a Fixed solution: Return to the Survey screen and watch the status progress Single (Autonomous) → Float → Fixed, typically within seconds to a minute or two. Confirm it reads Fixed and the latency/age stays low (a few seconds) before surveying.

### If the fix will not hold

These steps target the modern Cube-a app (Tool → Working Mode → Rover → NTRIP). Button wording ('Get Source Table' vs 'Get Access Point', 'Phone Internet' vs 'Controller Network') varies between versions - match the closest equivalent. On older SurvCE the path is Equip → GPS Rover → RTK tab, with the data-link device set to the data collector's internet and the network type set to NTRIP; the caster host, port, credentials and COMMON mountpoint are entered the same way. If you don't reach Fixed: confirm internet on the controller/SIM, re-fetch the source table, and verify host/port/mountpoint.
