# Spectra SP85 / SP80 / SP60

These steps connect a Spectra SP85 / SP80 / SP60 to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using Survey Pro / Spectra Geospatial Origin (FAST Survey on older kit). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* Survey Pro / Spectra Geospatial Origin (FAST Survey on older kit).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power up and connect the receiver: Switch on the SP85/SP80/SP60 and let it acquire satellites. Open your field software (Survey Pro or Spectra Geospatial Origin) and connect to the receiver over Bluetooth or cable. In Origin this is under menu > Connect / GNSS receiver setup; in Survey Pro you select the rover during survey start.
2. Decide how the rover reaches the internet: The SP85/SP80 have a built-in cellular modem and Wi-Fi so they can connect on their own (activated SIM or Wi-Fi). The SP60 typically has no internal cellular modem - connect it via the controller's SIM/Wi-Fi or a tethered phone. Note which path applies; you select it later as the internet source.
3. Origin: open the survey style and rover data link: In Origin tap the menu and choose Settings > Survey styles. Select your network-RTK style, tap Edit, select Rover data link, and set Type to 'Internet connection'. (In Survey Pro the equivalent comes when you start the GPS survey and pick the NTRIP rover - see step 8.)
4. Origin: create the GNSS correction source: Tap the context-menu button next to GNSS correction source and choose New. Set 'Use RTX (internet)' to No and 'Use NTRIP' to Yes. Leave 'Use NTRIP v1.0' off unless required.
5. Origin: enter the Premium Positioning caster: In IP Address enter rtkpremium.xyz and in IP port enter 2101. Either leave the mountpoint blank to pick it at survey start (recommended), or tick 'Connect directly to Mountpoint' and type COMMON.
6. Origin: enter YOUR NTRIP credentials: In NTRIP username and NTRIP password enter the personal login from your Premium Positioning welcome email - unique to your account. Leave TLS/proxy at defaults, then tap Store.
7. Origin: choose the internet source and store the style: Tap the context menu next to GNSS internet source and pick the path from step 2: 'Receiver internet - Wi-Fi' (or receiver SIM) for the SP85/SP80, or 'Controller internet' for the SP60. Tap Accept, then Store.
8. Survey Pro: start the GPS survey and pick the network rover: In Survey Pro start a job and begin the GPS survey. When prompted for the rover receiver type, choose the NTRIP / network rover option. Exact wording varies by version - match by function (an NTRIP-over-internet rover).
9. Survey Pro: define the caster (server/port): In Survey Pro's NTRIP/network server setup, add a server and enter Host/Server rtkpremium.xyz and Port 2101. Field labels ('Server', 'Address', 'IP', 'Port') differ by version - match by meaning. Save the server.
10. Survey Pro: enter credentials and load the source table: On the 'Select NTRIP Service' screen enter your own User Name and Password from the welcome email (optionally tick 'Save'). Tap Connect to log on and download the source table.
11. Select the COMMON mountpoint: From the source table / NTRIP service list, select COMMON. In Origin, if you left the mountpoint blank, the list appears at survey start - choose COMMON there.
12. Start receiving corrections: Confirm and start the survey. The receiver logs into rtkpremium.xyz:2101 with your credentials and streams COMMON. Watch the GNSS/RTK status: the data link goes active and the correction age counts in seconds (1 - 2 s).
13. Confirm a Fixed (RTK Fixed) solution: Wait for the solution to change from Autonomous/Float to Fixed. A low, stable correction age and cm-level precision indicate a healthy fix. Only measure once Fixed; if it stays Float, recheck internet, credentials, and that COMMON is selected.

### If the fix will not hold

SP85/SP80 can reach the internet themselves (internal cellular + Wi-Fi); the SP60 generally has no internal cellular modem, so route internet through the controller or a tethered phone. The Origin field labels are grounded in the official Spectra Geospatial Origin help. Survey Pro's screen/field names vary by version (and older kit may run FAST Survey, whose menus differ again) - where a label can't be confirmed, match by function.
