# South Galaxy G7 / Insight2

These steps connect a South Galaxy G7 / Insight2 to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using SurvX / SurvStar (Android). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* SurvX / SurvStar (Android).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power on and pair the receiver: Turn on the Galaxy G7 / Insight2 and your Android controller. Make sure Bluetooth is on and the controller has working internet (SIM data or Wi-Fi), since NTRIP corrections come over the internet. You don't need to pre-pair in Android settings; SurvX handles pairing.
2. Open SurvX and go to Device > Communication: Launch SurvX (or SurvStar). From the main menu choose Device > Communication. At the top, set the manufacturer to South and the device type to your model. Wording varies slightly by version - pick the closest South GNSS entry.
3. Connect to the receiver over Bluetooth: Set the communication mode to Bluetooth, press Search to scan. When your receiver's serial number appears, press Stop, tap it, and press Connect. If a pairing prompt appears, press Pair. The connection indicator turns green when connected.
4. Open the Rover settings: Go to Device > Rover - where you put the receiver into rover mode and set the RTK correction source. Leave Cut-off angle, Record raw data, and aRTK at defaults unless you have a reason to change them.
5. Open the Data Link to set the correction source: In the Rover screen, press Data Link. Choose the internet option: 'Phone Internet' to use the controller's data/Wi-Fi, or 'Device Internet' if you put a SIM in the receiver. Phone Internet is most common.
6. Set the connection protocol to NTRIP: With an internet data link selected, set the Connect mode (protocol) to NTRIP - the standard protocol for CORS-style network corrections. Do not choose CSD, TCP client, or Custom.
7. Enter the caster address and port: In CORS Settings, open the server/customize option (the edit or '+' control) to enter the caster: server / IP / address rtkpremium.xyz and Port 2101. If the address field only accepts numbers, use the domain field or your resolved IP. Save the server entry.
8. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: Still in CORS Settings, fill User (username) and Password with the personal credentials from your welcome email - your own; never reuse someone else's. The 'name' field is just a label (e.g. 'Premium Positioning').
9. Get the source table and pick mount point COMMON: In MountPoint Settings, press Get Access Point (Get Mount Point in some versions) to download the source table. From the list select COMMON. If the list is empty, recheck the address, port, username, password, and that the controller has internet.
10. Apply and connect: Confirm the data link shows Protocol NTRIP, server rtkpremium.xyz, port 2101, your username, and mount point COMMON. Press OK / Connect to close the data link, then Apply on the Rover screen. SurvX logs in and streams corrections to the receiver.
11. Confirm a Fixed solution: Return to the main screen and watch the status bar: Single → Float → Fixed within roughly 10 - 60 s (clear sky required). If it stays Float or Single, check sky visibility, internet, and that mount point COMMON and your credentials are correct.

### If the fix will not hold

Button/field names vary between SurvX/SurvStar versions (Data Link vs Datalink, Get Access Point vs Get Mount Point, CORS Settings vs Connect/Network settings, Phone Internet vs Receiver/Device Internet) - match by function: connect over Bluetooth, choose an internet data link, set protocol NTRIP, enter caster+port and your credentials, download the source table, select COMMON.
