# senseFly eBee X

These steps connect a senseFly eBee X to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using eMotion. They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* eMotion.
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Confirm RTK is the right mode for your flight: The eBee X supports both real-time RTK and post-processing (PPK). With our NTRIP service, eMotion connects to the caster over the internet and streams corrections to the drone during flight (in-flight RTK), so each photo is geotagged at cm level. PPK (logging raw GNSS and processing afterwards) is a separate offline workflow that does not use these live NTRIP details. These steps cover live RTK via NTRIP.
2. Check your licence and internet connection: In-flight RTK requires an active RTK/PPK licence on your eBee X - the RTK options only appear in eMotion once enabled. You also need internet on the eMotion laptop (Wi-Fi, ethernet or a phone hotspot) so eMotion can reach the caster, plus the senseFly USB ground modem connected to the laptop, which relays corrections to the drone in flight.
3. Have your Premium Positioning NTRIP credentials ready: Use the personal NTRIP username and password from your welcome email - unique to your account; do not share or reuse anyone else's. If you can't find them, contact support before continuing.
4. Open eMotion and connect your eBee X: Launch eMotion and connect/select your eBee X (and its ground equipment) so the aircraft is recognised. RTK setup lives in the active mission, so create or open the flight mission you intend to fly.
5. Open the RTK / PPK setup: Go to the mission view and open the RTK tab (it appears only when the RTK/PPK licence is active). Choose 'Set-up RTK/PPK'. This opens the base / correction-source configuration.
6. Add a new correction source: In the base configuration (Base tab), choose to add a new base / correction source ('Add base' or '+'). For a network correction service, select the source type for network corrections - typically 'VRS/NTRIP' (wording varies by eMotion version).
7. Enter the caster host and port: In the NTRIP/caster fields, set the server / host to rtkpremium.xyz and the port to 2101 - the same for every customer.
8. Select the mountpoint: For the mountpoint (sometimes 'mount point' or 'data stream'), use COMMON. If eMotion offers to fetch the source table after you enter host/port/credentials, pick COMMON from the list; otherwise type it in exactly. Protocol is NTRIP.
9. Enter your personal NTRIP username and password: In the username and password fields, type YOUR OWN credentials from the welcome email. These authenticate you to the caster and are not the same as any drone or eMotion login.
10. Save and connect to the correction stream: Save the source, then have eMotion connect to the caster / open the correction stream. A successful connection means eMotion is receiving NTRIP corrections and is ready to relay them to the eBee X through the USB ground modem.
11. Verify the drone is receiving a fix: Open the base-to-drone datastream / RTK status view. Watch the status climb to a fixed solution - usually 'RTK fixed' (or 'fix'). A 'float' or no-fix state means corrections aren't fully applied yet; give it time, confirm internet, modem connection and credentials.
12. Wait for RTK Fix before flying, then monitor in flight: Only launch once the eBee X reports RTK fixed, so images are tagged at cm level. Watch the RTK status during the flight; if it drops, check the internet link and modem. After landing, verify the corrected positions in eMotion's flight data / geotag review.

### If the fix will not hold

The eBee X performs in-flight RTK: eMotion manages the NTRIP connection over the internet and streams corrections to the drone via the senseFly USB ground modem, so both a working internet connection and the modem are required throughout the flight. If you instead fly PPK, you log raw GNSS and process afterwards using base data - that workflow does not use these live NTRIP details. Menu/field labels vary by eMotion version - match the closest equivalent (RTK tab, Set-up RTK/PPK, Add base, VRS/NTRIP source).
