# Ruide R6P / Nova

These steps connect a Ruide R6P / Nova to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using SurvX / SurvStar (Android). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* SurvX / SurvStar (Android).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Before you start: Power on the Ruide R6P/Nova and your Android device. Make sure the phone has mobile data (SIM) or Wi-Fi - corrections arrive over the internet. Have your NTRIP username/password from your welcome email ready.
2. Open SurvX (a SurvX-family app): Ruide rebadges a SurvX-family app (SOUTH/SurPad lineage, sometimes branded SurvStar), so this workflow applies directly - menu names match even if the splash logo differs. Open the app and continue or create a project.
3. Connect to the receiver over Bluetooth: Go to Device > Communicate. Set Device type to your Ruide/SOUTH receiver, Connect type to Bluetooth, tap Search/Connect Config, pick your receiver's serial number, then Connect. Pair first in Android Bluetooth settings if it doesn't appear.
4. Open the Rover configuration: Go to Device > Rover, where the receiver is set as a network rover and the NTRIP source is defined. Edit the current working mode or add a new one.
5. Set the Data Link to a network connection: Set Data Link: Receiver Network (receiver's internal SIM/modem) or Phone Network / PDA Network (corrections via the phone's internet over Bluetooth). Phone Network with mobile data is simplest. Wording ('PDA Network' vs 'Phone Network') varies by version.
6. Choose the NTRIP protocol: Set the Protocol / Server type to NTRIP (some versions label this CORS for a single-mountpoint caster). This exposes the caster address, port and login fields.
7. Enter the Premium Positioning caster details: Server/IP: rtkpremium.xyz, Port: 2101, Protocol: NTRIP. You can type rtkpremium.xyz directly in the IP/Address field; the app resolves the domain.
8. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: Type the credentials from your Premium Positioning welcome email - unique to your account; don't guess. If lost, contact support for a reset.
9. Retrieve the source table: Tap Get Access Point (also 'Get Source Table' / the refresh icon). The app connects to rtkpremium.xyz:2101, authenticates, and downloads the mountpoints.
10. Select the COMMON mountpoint: From the access-point / Mount Point list select COMMON - the Premium Positioning correction stream. Confirm your selection.
11. Apply and start corrections: Tap OK / Apply (and Start/Confirm if prompted) to send the config to the receiver and begin streaming. A progress bar fills and the data icon animates.
12. Confirm a Fixed solution: Watch the top status bar or Device > Device Status progress Single → Float → Fixed. Fixed with a low, stable HRMS/VRMS (a few cm or better) means you're receiving corrections correctly. If it stays Single/Float, re-check internet, credentials, and that COMMON is selected.

### If the fix will not hold

Ruide rebadges a SurvX-family Android app (SOUTH/SurPad/SurvStar lineage), so the standard SurvX network-rover flow applies. Minor wording ('Phone Network' vs 'PDA Network', 'NTRIP' vs 'CORS') varies between versions. Caster host/port/mountpoint are the same for all customers; only your username/password are personal and are entered on the device.
