# Raven RS1 / Viper 4+

These steps connect a Raven RS1 / Viper 4+ to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using Raven Slingshot / Viper. They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* Raven Slingshot / Viper.
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Confirm RTK is unlocked and you have your credentials: On Raven, NTRIP is delivered over a cellular link, so you need a Slingshot Field Hub (or another active cellular RTK relay) paired to the RS1, and the RS1 must have an RTK unlock. If RTK isn't unlocked, the RTK source screen shows 'RTK Is Not Unlocked'. Have your own NTRIP username/password (from your welcome email) ready - the network details below are the same for everyone.
2. Note the fixed Premium Positioning network details: Enter these exactly: Caster / Host: rtkpremium.xyz - Port: 2101 - Mountpoint: COMMON - Protocol: NTRIP. Identical for every customer; only your username and password are unique.
3. Confirm the Field Hub has cellular and a data connection: The Field Hub relays corrections over cellular, so it needs active data. If you use the Slingshot Field Hub Configurator (from the Raven portal), confirm cellular/APN, Wi-Fi and baud there. Labels vary by Configurator version - make sure the Field Hub reports it is online before continuing.
4. Open the Slingshot web portal: On Raven, the NTRIP/CORS network for a Field Hub is typically chosen in the password-protected Slingshot web portal, not typed on the display. Sign in to your Slingshot account and locate your Field Hub in the device list. Menu names vary by portal version - look for the Field Hub's RTK/correction configuration area.
5. Choose a custom / third-party NTRIP network: In the Field Hub's correction settings, select the option to use a custom/third-party RTK network (not a built-in Slingshot/CORS preset). The wording may be 'Custom', 'Third Party', 'NTRIP', etc. This exposes fields for the caster address, port, mountpoint and login.
6. Enter the caster server and port: Server/host (sometimes 'Caster' or 'IP/Address'): rtkpremium.xyz. Port: 2101. If the portal combines them, use rtkpremium.xyz:2101.
7. Select the mountpoint: In the Mountpoint (sometimes 'Mount Point' or 'Data Stream') field, enter or select COMMON. If the portal fetches a source table, pick COMMON from the list.
8. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: In Username and Password, enter the personal login from your welcome email - unique to your account; do not use anyone else's. Save/apply the settings in the portal.
9. Push the settings to the Field Hub over cellular: After saving, the Slingshot portal sends the new NTRIP configuration to your Field Hub over cellular. This can take a short time - wait for the portal (or Field Hub status) to confirm the settings were delivered.
10. Set the RS1 RTK source to Network: On the display (Viper 4/4+: typically Edit > GPS), open the GPS/RTK configuration. On the RTK source setting, the choices are usually 'Network' (Slingshot server / cellular), 'Serial', 'None', 'Auto'. Set it so the RS1 accepts Slingshot/network corrections - 'Network' (or leave 'Auto' if your setup is locked appropriately). If you only see 'Auto/Serial', your system may take corrections serially from the Field Hub - leave the locked setting as delivered.
11. Open the GPS Status / health screen: Go to the GPS status/messages screen to watch the correction state. Raven shows a convergence message ('Converging' then 'Converged') plus an 'Age of Differential' value. A low, steadily-updating Age of Differential confirms corrections are flowing.
12. Confirm an RTK Fixed solution: Wait for convergence. On Raven the GGA quality indicates the fix: 4 = RTK Fixed, 5 = RTK Float. You want RTK Fixed (mode 4) with status 'Converged' and a small, stable Age of Differential. If it stays at Float or 'Converging', recheck cellular signal, your credentials, and that COMMON / port 2101 / rtkpremium.xyz were entered exactly.

### If the fix will not hold

Raven RS1 receives NTRIP over a cellular link via a Slingshot Field Hub (or equivalent), and the network is normally configured in the password-protected Slingshot web portal then pushed to the Field Hub - you usually don't type the caster details directly on the Viper display. RTK must be unlocked first. Confirm a true RTK Fixed (GGA mode 4 / 'Converged') before relying on accuracy. Menu names vary by display (Viper 4 vs 4+) and portal version.
