# Leica iCON iCG70 / iCG70 T

These steps connect a Leica iCON iCG70 / iCG70 T to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using Leica iCON field software on a CC80 / CC200 tablet (Leica Captivate on a CS20 follows the equivalent RTK rover wizard). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* Leica iCON field software on a CC80 / CC200 tablet (Leica Captivate on a CS20 follows the equivalent RTK rover wizard).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power up and ensure internet: Switch on the iCG70 and the tablet, and make sure the tablet has a working internet connection (SIM data, tablet Wi-Fi, or a phone paired over Bluetooth). The rover pulls corrections over this connection, so confirm it is online before starting.
2. Open the GNSS connection wizard: In the Leica iCON field software, go to the instrument/connection area, tap the Communication Mode container, then tap Mode to start a new connection. (On a CS20 in Leica Captivate the equivalent path is Home > Settings > Connections > RTK rover.)
3. Connect to the iCG70 receiver: Choose the connection type to the receiver (usually Bluetooth), search, and select your iCG70 / iCG70 T from the results - it normally appears by its serial number. Let the controller finish pairing.
4. Create a new configuration: At the configuration/antenna screen choose New Configuration (rather than an existing profile) so you can define a fresh NTRIP network-rover profile.
5. Set the basic sensor settings: In Basic Settings set Sensor mode to Rover, Use to Network, and Connect via to NTRIP. These three choices tell the iCG70 to receive RTK corrections from an NTRIP caster over the internet.
6. Choose the internet connection: When prompted for the device that provides internet, select the tablet/receiver internet (GSM/SIM, Wi-Fi, or the paired phone) and create/enable it if no profile exists yet. Exact wording of this sub-screen varies by iCON version - pick the option that uses the controller's own internet, not a radio.
7. Enter the Premium Positioning caster: In the NTRIP connection (server) settings enter Server / Host: rtkpremium.xyz and Port: 2101. Leave the protocol as NTRIP.
8. Enter YOUR NTRIP credentials: Enter the NTRIP User ID and Password from your Premium Positioning welcome email. These are unique to your account - type your own; do not use example values.
9. Download / refresh the source table: Trigger the source-table retrieval - the field software downloads the available mountpoints once the caster details and credentials are correct. An empty list usually means a wrong server/port, bad credentials, or no internet.
10. Select the COMMON mountpoint: From the downloaded mountpoint (source table) list, select the mountpoint named COMMON. This is the Premium Positioning correction stream for your rover.
11. Enable Send GGA position: Set Send GGA (auto-position / send user position) to On or Automatic so the network can generate corrections for your location. If asked for a network type, VRS or iMAX is typical depending on your region.
12. Set the antenna and pole height: In the antenna settings select the iCG70 antenna and enter your exact pole height (e.g. 2.000 m). An incorrect pole height directly biases your measured heights.
13. Save and start the profile: Name the profile (e.g. Premium Positioning RTK), save it, then tap it to start. The controller connects to the internet, then the NTRIP caster, and the solution should progress Single > Float > Fixed.
14. Confirm RTK Fixed: Verify the solution status shows Fixed with low, stable coordinate quality before measuring. If it stays Float, recheck Send GGA, the COMMON mountpoint, your credentials, and your internet signal.

### If the fix will not hold

Screen and button labels differ between iCON field-software versions and Leica Captivate (CS20); the Basic Settings (Rover / Network / NTRIP), caster fields and mountpoint selection are consistent, but the internet-connection sub-screen wording varies - follow the option that uses the controller's own internet. The iCG70 usually gets internet via a Bluetooth-paired phone, the tablet's Wi-Fi, or an internal SIM. Choose VRS or iMAX network type per your region if prompted.
