# GeoMax Zenith40 / Zenith05

These steps connect a GeoMax Zenith40 / Zenith05 to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using X-PAD Ultimate (Android). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* X-PAD Ultimate (Android).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power on the receiver and the Android controller: Switch on your GeoMax Zenith40 / Zenith05 and mount it on the pole. Power on your Android controller (data collector or phone/tablet) and make sure it has working mobile data or Wi-Fi, because corrections are delivered over the internet. Open X-PAD Ultimate.
2. Open or create a job, then go to instrument settings: Open or create a job. From the main menu open Settings, then the section that manages instruments - typically 'GNSS & Total stations' (some versions 'Devices' or 'Instruments'). This is where rover profiles are created and selected.
3. Add a new GNSS Rover profile: Choose Add (the + or 'New' button), then select the GNSS Rover profile type. Pick GeoMax as the brand and your model (Zenith40 or Zenith05). Give the profile a recognisable name. Button wording varies slightly by version - choose the option that creates a new GNSS rover instrument.
4. Connect to the receiver over Bluetooth: On the connection page choose Bluetooth and tap to search. Select your Zenith40 / Zenith05 (its serial usually appears in the name) and confirm to pair/connect. Wait until X-PAD reports it connected. If it doesn't appear, confirm Bluetooth is on and the receiver is powered.
5. Open the RTK / corrections page and set the data link to internet: After the receiver connects, open the RTK (corrections / data link) page. For the correction source choose to receive over the internet using the controller's connection - commonly 'Internet', 'GPRS', or 'Internet of the controller' / 'External GPRS controller'. This routes the NTRIP stream through your Android device's data rather than a modem or radio. Wording varies by version.
6. Choose NTRIP as the protocol: With the internet data link selected, set the correction protocol to NTRIP (not a direct IP/TCP or radio link), so X-PAD connects to an NTRIP caster and requests a mountpoint.
7. Add the NTRIP server (host and port): Open the list of NTRIP servers and choose Add / New. Enter the caster - Host / Server: rtkpremium.xyz, Port: 2101 - the same for every customer. Save the server entry.
8. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: In the same NTRIP server form enter the UserID (username) and Password - personal to your account, from your welcome email. Do not share them; if you don't have them, contact support before continuing.
9. Download the source table (mountpoint list): Use the button that retrieves the streams from the caster - usually 'Connect', 'Get source table', or the list/refresh icon next to the mountpoint field. X-PAD downloads the source table. If nothing loads, re-check host, port, credentials, and that the controller has internet.
10. Select the COMMON mountpoint: From the source table, select COMMON - the correction stream all Premium Positioning customers use. Confirm so the entry stores Host rtkpremium.xyz, Port 2101, Mountpoint COMMON, Protocol NTRIP, plus your UserID/Password.
11. Apply and start the rover: Confirm/accept the RTK configuration to apply it and start the rover. X-PAD connects to the caster and feeds corrections to the Zenith. The first connection can take a moment.
12. Confirm RTK Fixed before surveying: Open the GPS Status (satellite/position status) page or check the solution indicator on the survey screen. Wait until it shows 'Fixed' (RTK Fixed) - not Float/DGPS/Autonomous - meaning cm-level accuracy. Only measure once you see RTK Fixed. If it stays Float, recheck the username/password, that COMMON is selected, sky view, and your data connection.

### If the fix will not hold

The controller must have a live mobile-data or Wi-Fi connection. Menu/button labels ('GNSS & Total stations', 'Internet of the controller' / 'External GPRS', 'Get source table') can differ slightly between X-PAD Ultimate versions - choose the closest match.
