# GeoMax Zenith16 / Zenith35 Pro

These steps connect a GeoMax Zenith16 / Zenith35 Pro to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using X-PAD Ultimate (Android). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* X-PAD Ultimate (Android).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power up and prepare: Switch on the Zenith16/Zenith35 Pro and the Android device running X-PAD Ultimate. Ensure clear sky and that the controller has working internet (SIM data or Wi-Fi hotspot) - corrections are pulled over the controller's connection.
2. Open the instrument profile list: In X-PAD Ultimate go to Settings and tap 'GNSS & Total stations' to show your instrument profiles. Tap 'Add' for a new profile (older builds: the 'New' button in Instruments setup).
3. Define the profile as a GNSS Rover: Choose 'GNSS Receiver (GNSS)', then enter a Profile name (e.g. 'Premium Positioning NTRIP'), set Mode to 'GNSS Rover', Brand to 'GeoMax' and Model to your Zenith unit. Tap Next.
4. Pair the receiver over Bluetooth: Set the connection to Bluetooth, tap 'Add device' / 'Find devices', search, and select the entry matching your receiver's serial number (on Zenith16 you can scan its QR code). Confirm pairing and tap Next. Button wording ('Add device' vs 'Search Device') varies by version.
5. Choose internet corrections on the RTK page: Set the correction Device to internet/GPRS. On a phone/tablet choose 'External GPRS (controller)' so corrections come through the controller's data; choose 'Internal GPRS' only if using the receiver's own SIM. Tap Next to the RTK GPRS page.
6. Create the NTRIP server entry: Tap the Server field and choose 'NTRIP servers' to add a service. Create a server: Name 'Premium Positioning'; IP Address / Server: rtkpremium.xyz; Port: 2101; Protocol: NTRIP. Save it.
7. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: Fill UserID and Password with the personal NTRIP credentials from your Premium Positioning welcome email - unique to your account. The host/port are shared by all customers; the login is per-user.
8. Retrieve the source table and select the mountpoint: Tap the 'Mountpoint' field. X-PAD connects and downloads the source table. Select COMMON. If the list doesn't appear, re-check host, port and credentials, then tap Mountpoint again to refresh.
9. Set the correction data format: Set 'Data format' to match the COMMON stream (typically RTCM 3.x). If unsure, leave the default/auto RTCM 3 setting - the COMMON mountpoint streams standard RTCM 3 corrections.
10. Set the GNSS parameters and antenna: Accept sensible defaults (cut-off \~10 - 15°, GLONASS/Galileo on, up to 5 Hz for stakeout). On the Antenna page confirm the correct Zenith antenna and your measured antenna height. Tap End to save.
11. Connect and start corrections: Select the new profile to make it current - X-PAD connects to the Zenith over Bluetooth and logs in to the caster. If corrections don't start, open the GPS status window, tap Setup and choose 'Connect GPRS' to restart the NTRIP session.
12. Confirm a Fixed solution: Open the GPS status window and check Quality > Position. Wait for 'RTK Fixed' (cm precision). 'RTK Mobile'/Float means corrections arrive but aren't fixed; 'Autonomous'/'DGPS' means no RTK. The page also shows the NTRIP Server, Mountpoint (COMMON) and Age of corrections - keep age low (a few seconds).

### If the fix will not hold

The controller needs live internet (SIM data or hotspot). Labels differ between X-PAD Ultimate versions (e.g. 'GNSS & Total stations' / 'Add' vs older 'Instruments setup' / 'New'; 'Find devices' vs 'Search Device'); the sequence - pick Rover, choose internet/GPRS, create the NTRIP server, download the source table, pick COMMON - is the same. A persistent Float usually means poor sky view, weak data signal, or a mismatched correction format.
