# FOIF A90 / A30

These steps connect a FOIF A90 / A30 to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using FOIF field app (Forsurvey / SurvX-style). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* FOIF field app (Forsurvey / SurvX-style).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power on and get online: Switch on the FOIF A90/A30 outdoors with clear sky. On the controller, turn on Bluetooth and ensure a working internet connection (mobile data or Wi-Fi).
2. Open the FOIF field app: Launch the FOIF field app (Forsurvey). It uses the standard SurvX/SurPad-style layout, so the menu names below match that family; your build's wording may differ slightly but the flow is identical.
3. Connect to the receiver (Device > Communication): Go to Device > Communication. Set Manufacturer to FOIF and device type to your model, choose Bluetooth, press Search. When your receiver's serial appears, press Stop, select it, and Connect (Pair if prompted).
4. Switch to Rover mode (Device > Rover): Go to Device > Rover to open the rover settings - this tells the A90/A30 to receive corrections rather than transmit.
5. Open the Data Link and choose internet: On the Rover screen press Data Link. Choose Phone Internet (controller's connection) or Device Internet (SIM in the receiver). Phone Internet is simplest if the phone is online.
6. Set the connection protocol to NTRIP: Set Connect Mode / Protocol to NTRIP (the standard CORS network protocol). Avoid CSD, TCP or Custom.
7. Enter the caster address and port: In CORS Settings enter Server/IP: rtkpremium.xyz and Port: 2101. Use the host-name field for rtkpremium.xyz; press the + next to CORS Settings to add it as a new server if needed.
8. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: In CORS Settings type the NTRIP User and Password from your Premium Positioning welcome email - unique to you. If you haven't received credentials, contact support first.
9. Retrieve the source table: In MountPoint Settings press Get Access Point (also 'Get Mount Point'). The app downloads the available mountpoints.
10. Select the COMMON mountpoint: From the list select COMMON - the Premium Positioning correction stream for your network.
11. Apply and connect: Press OK / Apply, then confirm to start the NTRIP connection. The app logs in and streams corrections to the receiver.
12. Confirm a Fixed solution: On the survey screen watch Single > Float > Fixed (within \~15 - 60 s). Once Fixed with cm precision you're ready. If it stays Single/Float, re-check credentials, mountpoint, and internet.

### If the fix will not hold

FOIF A90/A30 run a SurvX/SurPad-style app (Forsurvey), so the menu names above match that family; your build's exact wording may vary slightly but the workflow is the same. A clear sky view and a stable internet connection are required to reach and hold a Fixed solution.
