# FOIF A60 / SmaRTK

These steps connect a FOIF A60 / SmaRTK to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using FOIF field app (Forsurvey / SurvX-style). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* FOIF field app (Forsurvey / SurvX-style).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Before you start: Have your Premium Positioning NTRIP credentials ready - the username and password from your welcome email (each customer has their own; PP never shares one set). Make sure the FOIF A60 is on and your phone/tablet has working mobile data (corrections come over the internet).
2. Open the FOIF field app: Launch the FOIF survey app on your Android device (Forsurvey, or whichever SurvX/SurPad-style app shipped with your A60). Open or create a job if prompted. FOIF's app is built on the eSurvey SurvX/SurPad platform, so the wording below follows that workflow - labels should match closely but may differ slightly by version.
3. Connect to the receiver (Bluetooth): Tap Device > Communication. Set the manufacturer and device type to your A60/SmaRTK, set Communication mode to Bluetooth, then tap Search. When your receiver's serial appears, tap Stop, select it, and tap Connect (tap Pair if asked on first connection).
4. Open Rover settings: Once connected, tap Device > Rover to open the Rover mode settings - where you tell the receiver to listen for corrections and how to receive them.
5. Set the Data Link to Phone Internet: In the Rover screen, tap Data Link and choose Phone Internet - sends NTRIP corrections over your phone/tablet's mobile data, so you don't need a SIM in the receiver.
6. Choose NTRIP as the protocol: If a Connect Mode / protocol option is shown, set it to NTRIP (the standard mode used by CORS networks). Leave GGA upload interval at its default (typically 5 seconds).
7. Enter the caster server and port: In CORS Settings, add/edit the server: Server (IP/host) rtkpremium.xyz, Port 2101. If the app keeps a saved list of casters, create an entry named e.g. 'Premium Positioning' so you can reuse it.
8. Enter your NTRIP username and password: Still in CORS Settings, type the User and Password from your welcome email. Use YOUR own credentials exactly as supplied (case-sensitive) - do not guess or reuse anyone else's.
9. Get the access point (source table): In MountPoint Settings, tap Get Access Point (Get Mount Point on some versions). The app connects and downloads the list of mount points. If nothing loads, recheck host, port, credentials, and your internet connection.
10. Select the COMMON mount point: From the downloaded list, select COMMON - the correct mount point for all Premium Positioning customers on rtkpremium.xyz.
11. Apply the settings: Tap Apply (or OK/Confirm) to save the Rover configuration. The receiver requests corrections and feeds them into its position solution.
12. Confirm a Fixed solution: Return to the survey screen and watch the status bar: Single → Float → Fixed, usually within 10 - 30 seconds. Fixed (RTK) means cm-level accuracy and you're ready to survey. If it stays Single/Float, confirm mobile data is working, that you selected COMMON, and that your credentials are correct.

### If the fix will not hold

The menu/button names follow the eSurvey SurvX/SurPad 4.2 workflow that FOIF's Forsurvey app is based on; your version's labels (e.g. Get Access Point vs Get Mount Point, Apply vs OK) may differ slightly but the sequence is the same.
