# Emlid Reach RS2 / RS3 / RS2+

These steps connect an Emlid Reach RS2 / RS3 / RS2+ to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using Emlid Flow app (iOS / Android). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* Emlid Flow app (iOS / Android).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power on the receiver with clear sky: Hold the power button until the LED lights up. Place the Reach outdoors with a clear, unobstructed view of the sky (Emlid recommends at least 30° above the horizon in all directions) - sky view is the biggest factor in a fast, reliable FIX.
2. Install and open Emlid Flow: Install Emlid Flow (formerly ReachView 3) from the App Store or Google Play and open it. Make sure your phone/tablet has working internet (mobile data or Wi-Fi) - in the common setup the receiver borrows your phone's internet for corrections.
3. Connect the app to your receiver: Connect to your Reach - simplest is Bluetooth: enable Bluetooth, then select your receiver from the device list (the name includes the model and serial, e.g. 'Reach RS3'). You can also join the receiver's own Wi-Fi hotspot. Connection wording varies slightly by app version/platform.
4. Decide how the receiver gets internet: If you connected over Bluetooth, Emlid Flow automatically shares your phone's internet with the receiver - no extra setup. To use the receiver's own connection instead, join it to Wi-Fi or use a SIM (RS3). For most users, Bluetooth + phone internet is the recommended path.
5. Set GNSS settings (recommended): Go to Settings > GNSS settings and confirm: Positioning mode Kinematic, Elevation mask 15°, SNR mask 35°, all satellite systems enabled, update rate 5 Hz. Tap Apply.
6. Open the Correction input screen: Go to Settings and open Correction input - this is where you tell the receiver where to fetch RTK corrections.
7. Choose the NTRIP correction source: Select NTRIP. If connected over Bluetooth you'll be offered an internet source - choose 'Internet over mobile's device' so the receiver uses your phone's connection. (If the receiver has its own Wi-Fi/cellular, choose the option that uses the receiver's internet - wording varies by version.)
8. Add a new NTRIP profile: Tap Add profile to create a new connection to Premium Positioning's caster. You'll see fields for the address, port, mount point, and your login.
9. Enter the caster address and port: Address: rtkpremium.xyz Port: 2101. These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer.
10. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: In Username and Password enter the personal credentials from your Premium Positioning welcome email - unique to your account; don't guess. If you can't find them, contact Premium Positioning support to have them resent.
11. Select the mount point: Set the mount point to COMMON. Depending on your app version you can type COMMON directly, or tap the field to fetch the caster's source table and pick COMMON from the list. If no list loads, enter COMMON manually.
12. Save the NTRIP profile: Tap Save. Emlid Flow connects to rtkpremium.xyz and begins streaming corrections. An authentication error means re-check username/password; a mount point error means re-check it is COMMON.
13. Confirm the corrections link is active: On the Correction input / status screen, confirm the profile shows connected and correction data is being received. If not within a few seconds, check the phone has internet and the receiver has clear sky.
14. Watch the solution status reach FIX: Check the status indicator at the top: it progresses SINGLE → FLOAT → FIX. FIX means cm-level accuracy and you're ready to survey - usually a few seconds up to a minute or two with good sky view.

### If the fix will not hold

Work outdoors with a clear sky view (30°+ above the horizon) and keep the phone's internet active, since over Bluetooth the receiver relies on your phone for data. Screen/button wording differs slightly between Emlid Flow versions and between iOS and Android. If you can't get past FLOAT to FIX, the usual causes are poor sky view, weak phone signal, or the wrong mount point.
