# ComNav T300 / N3

These steps connect a ComNav T300 / N3 to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using Compass / SurvStar (Android). They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* Compass / SurvStar (Android).
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power on and pair the receiver: Turn on the ComNav T300/N3 and enable Bluetooth on your Android controller. Ensure clear sky and the receiver fixed on the pole.
2. Open the field software: Launch Compass or SurvStar and open/create your job. NTRIP settings live under the Device (or Communication) and Survey/Config menus.
3. Connect over Bluetooth: Go to Device > Communication (or Connect). Set Device type to ComNav, mode to Bluetooth, scan, select your T300/N3 by serial number, and Connect. Wording varies slightly by app version.
4. Set work mode to Rover: Open the Rover / Work Mode setup (sometimes 'RTK work mode' with a 'Change work mode' button) and select Rover (in some firmware 'Auto Rover').
5. Set the Datalink to network/internet: Set Datalink to use the internet - the controller's internet (phone/network datalink) or the receiver's internal network/SIM. In ComNav terms this is shown as 'Rover Ntrip/IP'.
6. Choose NTRIP protocol: Set the protocol/connection type to NTRIP (not TCP/IP direct or radio). If asked for a version, NTRIP 1.0 is a safe default.
7. Open the NTRIP / Datalink configuration: Add or edit an NTRIP profile (e.g. tap ADD in the Datalink Config screen) to enter the caster address, port, credentials, and mountpoint.
8. Enter the Premium Positioning caster: Server/Host (IP or domain): rtkpremium.xyz - Port: 2101 - Protocol: NTRIP. If a Mountpoint field shows now you can set COMMON, but it's easier to pick it from the source table next.
9. Enter YOUR NTRIP username and password: Type the username/password from your Premium Positioning welcome email - unique to your account, case-sensitive; do not use anyone else's.
10. Retrieve the source table: Tap Get / Get List / Source List (sometimes 'Download Source Table') to pull the mountpoints. A successful retrieval confirms address, port and credentials are correct.
11. Select the COMMON mountpoint: From the source list select COMMON, confirm/OK. The receiver begins requesting RTK corrections.
12. Connect and start receiving corrections: Confirm/Apply the datalink. The app shows the link connected and RTCM data arriving; the data age/latency counts low single-digit seconds.
13. Confirm a Fixed solution: Watch the status progress Single/Autonomous → Float → Fixed. Begin measuring only once it reads Fixed with low data age and cm-level precision.

### If the fix will not hold

Names differ between Compass and SurvStar and across versions - match by purpose (connect, Rover, datalink/NTRIP, source list, mountpoint, Fixed). If you can't reach Fixed: verify internet, re-check credentials (case-sensitive), confirm the source table loads, select COMMON, and ensure clear sky within coverage.
