# CHCNAV i89 / i89 Pro

These steps connect a CHCNAV i89 / i89 Pro to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using LandStar 7. They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* LandStar 7.
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power on and pair over Bluetooth: Turn on the i89 / i89 Pro and your controller, enable Bluetooth, and open LandStar 7. Make sure the receiver is fully booted before connecting.
2. Open Config > Connect: From the main menu tap Config, then Connect - where LandStar 7 links the software to your receiver.
3. Set the connection details: Set Manufacturer to CHC and choose the matching Device Type (e.g. GNSS RTK). Set Connection Type to Bluetooth.
4. Find and pair the receiver: Tap the Bluetooth list / Refresh to scan, select your i89 by serial number, and pair (if a PIN is requested, the CHC default is usually 1234). When it shows connected, you return to the Connect screen.
5. Open Config > Work Mode and create a new rover mode: Tap Config > Work Mode > New to create a fresh work mode - where rover correction settings live.
6. Set it to an internet rover: Switch RTK on. Set Work Mode to Auto Rover. Set Datalink to Receiver Network (routes corrections over the receiver's built-in SIM/internet). On some versions this is labelled Phone Internet or Receiver Internet, and the SIM data link may be called GSM/GPRS - pick the receiver-network/internet option for your version.
7. Choose the NTRIP protocol: Set Protocol to NTRIP. On some LandStar 7 builds the equivalent is labelled CORS - if you don't see NTRIP, select CORS; they refer to the same standard NTRIP workflow.
8. Enter the Premium Positioning caster address: In the server / IP and Port fields enter Host: rtkpremium.xyz and Port: 2101 - fixed and identical for every customer. (If a SIM APN prompt appears, set it for your mobile carrier.)
9. Enter your own NTRIP login: Type the NTRIP User name and Password from your welcome email - personal to your account, exactly as supplied; do not share them.
10. Download the source table: Tap Download (or Get source table) to pull the available mount points from the caster. This confirms the host, port, username and password are correct.
11. Select the COMMON mount point: From the downloaded source table / access point list, select COMMON - the correct mount point for all Premium Positioning customers.
12. Save, name, and accept the work mode: Tap Save. At 'Please Set a Name for The New Mode' enter a name (e.g. PP NTRIP) and OK, then OK at 'Create Mode Successfully'. Select your new work mode and tap Accept. Review the CORS/NTRIP info (host, port, COMMON) and tap OK.
13. Confirm a Fixed solution: Watch the solution status move Single → Float → Fixed (the receiver LED also changes once it locks). Once it reads Fixed you're receiving corrections and ready to survey. If it stays Single/Float, recheck the credentials, the COMMON mount point, and that you have mobile data/sky view.

### If the fix will not hold

Menu labels vary slightly between LandStar 7 versions/firmware (Receiver Network vs Phone Internet vs Receiver Internet; NTRIP vs CORS; Download vs Get source table) - pick the closest matching option.
