# ArduSimple simpleRTK3B (mosaic-X5)

These steps connect an ArduSimple simpleRTK3B (mosaic-X5) to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using SW Maps (Bluetooth) or mosaic-X5 web interface. They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

### Before you start

* Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account on the customer portal.
* SW Maps (Bluetooth) or mosaic-X5 web interface.
* A working internet connection on the controller or phone.
* A clear view of the sky at the point you are measuring.

### Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

* Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz
* Port: 2101
* Mountpoint: COMMON
* Protocol: NTRIP

### Steps

1. Power the receiver and pick your method: Power the simpleRTK3B over USB-C and let the GNSS antenna get a clear sky view. Two equally valid ways to feed corrections: (A) over Bluetooth using SW Maps on a phone/tablet, or (B) using the mosaic-X5's own built-in NTRIP client via its web interface. Do ONE of the two - pick based on whether you survey from a phone (use A) or want the board to pull corrections itself (use B). Have your NTRIP username/password (from your welcome email) ready for either path.
2. PATH A - Pair the receiver over Bluetooth: This uses the ArduSimple Bluetooth/BLE bridge module. On your phone/tablet, pair with the receiver in Bluetooth settings - it appears as a name like 'BT+BLE\_Bridge\_XXXX' (XXXX varies per unit). If asked for a PIN, the ArduSimple default is 1234. Device name/PIN can vary by module/firmware.
3. PATH A - Connect SW Maps to the receiver: Open SW Maps. Tap the menu (≡) and choose 'Bluetooth GNSS' (on some versions under a 'Connect Instrument' screen, with BLE bridges under a 'Bluetooth LE' option). Choose your paired receiver, set 'Instrument Height', then tap 'CONNECT'. SW Maps should show a live position. Labels shift slightly between versions.
4. PATH A - Open the SW Maps NTRIP client: With the receiver connected, open the menu (≡) and tap 'NTRIP Client' (sometimes 'NTRIP Connection').
5. PATH A - Enter the caster settings: In the NTRIP Client form: Caster IP / Address (Host): rtkpremium.xyz, Port: 2101, Mountpoint: COMMON, Protocol: NTRIP. For Username/Password, enter YOUR OWN from your welcome email - not anyone else's. If a 'Mountpoint' dropdown/refresh appears, pull the source table and pick COMMON.
6. PATH A - Enable Send GGA and connect: Turn ON 'Send NMEA GGA to NTRIP Caster' ('Send GGA' / 'Send position to caster'). Our network needs your approximate position to send corrections, so this must be on. Tap Connect/OK - the byte/data counter should start moving. Then skip to the final 'Confirm RTK Fixed' step.
7. PATH B - Open the mosaic-X5 web interface: Connect the simpleRTK3B to a computer by USB-C. The mosaic-X5 presents as a network adapter; open a browser to <http://192.168.3.1>. If prompted to log in, ArduSimple ships these with username and password both 'ardusimple' (lowercase) - use whatever yours is set to. (If you use the WiFi access point instead, browse to the receiver's WiFi IP from ArduSimple's guide.)
8. PATH B - Go to Corrections > NTRIP: In the web interface top menu open 'Corrections', then the 'NTRIP' tab - the mosaic-X5's built-in NTRIP client section. Wording varies slightly by firmware, but the corrections/NTRIP area is where you configure the incoming stream.
9. PATH B - Add a New NTRIP client: Click '+ New NTRIP client' (or a '+' add button) and set Mode to 'Client' (the receiver is the rover pulling corrections, not serving them).
10. PATH B - Enter the caster settings: Fill the NTRIP client fields - Caster (Host): rtkpremium.xyz, Port: 2101, Mount point: COMMON, Protocol: NTRIP. For 'User name' and 'Password', enter YOUR OWN credentials from your welcome email. If a 'Get mountpoints' / source-table button is offered, fetch it and select COMMON.
11. PATH B - Set Send GGA to caster: Set 'Send GGA to caster' to 'auto' (or 'enabled'/'on' by firmware). Our caster needs your rough position to begin streaming. Apply/save (typically 'OK' or auto-applies). The NTRIP client status should change to 'Connected'.
12. Confirm RTK Fixed: Watch the solution climb Autonomous (Single) → DGPS → RTK Float → RTK Fixed. In SW Maps (Path A) check the Skyplot/status - the fix type reads 'RTK Float' then 'RTK Fix' and the marker changes colour. In the mosaic-X5 web interface (Path B) open the 'Position' page - the PVT/solution mode should read 'RTK fixed'. With clear sky this normally takes under a minute. If it sticks on Float, recheck the mountpoint is COMMON, Send GGA is on, and the antenna has open sky.

### If the fix will not hold

Two supported paths: (A) phone/tablet survey via SW Maps over Bluetooth, or (B) the mosaic-X5's built-in NTRIP client via its web interface at <http://192.168.3.1>. You don't need both. 'Send GGA to caster' must be enabled on either path. Menu/button names vary a little between SW Maps versions and mosaic-X5 firmware - follow the option that matches each described function. The same mosaic-X5 NTRIP setup also applies to the simpleRTK3B Pro.
