AgOpenGPS

Connect AgOpenGPS to RTK Premium corrections over NTRIP.

These steps connect AgOpenGPS to the Premium Positioning correction network over NTRIP, using the NTRIP client in the AgIO helper. They assume you already have your NTRIP credentials.

Before you start

  • Your NTRIP username and password, from your Premium Positioning welcome email or your account in the XYZ Platform.

  • No account yet? Start a 14-day free trial to get your credentials.

  • AgOpenGPS and AgIO installed, with your GPS or IMU board connected.

  • A working internet connection on the computer running AgIO.

  • No phone or hotspot in the field? If your controller or receiver takes a SIM, Premium Positioning IoT SIMs give it its own data connection.

  • A clear view of the sky where you are working.

Network settings

These are the same for every Premium Positioning customer. Only your username and password are unique to you.

  • Server or host: rtkpremium.xyz

  • Port: 2101

  • Mountpoint: COMMON

  • Protocol: NTRIP

Steps

  1. Open the NTRIP client in AgIO: Start AgIO and open its NTRIP client settings.

  2. Enter the caster address and port: Set the caster to rtkpremium.xyz and the port to 2101.

  3. Enter your NTRIP username and password: Type your own credentials exactly as they appear in your welcome email. They are case-sensitive and unique to your account.

  4. Set the mountpoint: Enter COMMON as the mountpoint.

  5. Turn on Send GGA: Enable 'Send GGA' so the network receives your approximate position.

  6. Start the NTRIP client: Start the client. AgIO forwards the correction stream to your GPS board.

  7. Confirm RTK Fixed: Check that AgOpenGPS reports 'RTK Fixed' before you start guidance.

If the fix will not hold

AgIO field labels vary between AgOpenGPS versions, so match the nearest equivalent in your build. AgIO needs a live internet connection for the whole session. If the solution stays at float or single, check that Send GGA is on, then recheck the caster address, the port, the COMMON mountpoint and your credentials.
